From connected accounts

Email messages related to your job applications, accessed only after you connect an account and only as authorized under Section 3 of our Terms and Conditions.

Communications

Metadata and content of calls and SMS messages sent to your dedicated application phone number, collected in order to forward them to you.

Interview preparation

Audio, video, and transcripts from practice interview sessions, along with the reports we generate from them.

Public professional information

Publicly available information about target companies and your likely interviewers, used to tailor your interview preparation.

Usage and device data

Information about how you use the Service, your device, and cookies. See our cookie settings for details if analytics or similar technologies are in use.

3. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Operate and provide the Service.
  • Analyze your resume and profile to recommend roles that fit you, and assess the fit of jobs you add.
  • Submit applications on your behalf.
  • Draft replies to recruiters and employers for your approval.
  • Forward calls and SMS messages to your personal phone.
  • Generate interview preparation plans and performance reports.
  • Improve and develop the Service.
  • Maintain the security and integrity of the Service.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

4. Automated processing

Fit scores, drafted recruiter replies, and outcome estimates are generated automatically using automated tools, including AI models. Drafted replies always require your review and approval before anything is sent to a recruiter or employer.

5. Google user data

WideApply's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Email data accessed through Google APIs is used only to operate the features you enable, such as managing application-related correspondence, and is not used for advertising and is not sold.

6. How we share information

We share information:

  • With employers and job platforms, when you direct us to apply to a job or when we send correspondence on your behalf.
  • With service providers who help us operate the Service, such as hosting, email delivery, telephony, and AI processing providers, under contracts that limit their use of your information to providing services to us.
  • When required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of business assets.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

7. Data retention

If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), including the right to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, the right to delete personal information, the right to correct inaccurate personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA.

EEA, UK, and New Zealand residents

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or New Zealand, you may have additional rights under applicable data protection law, including the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or port your personal information, and the right to object to certain processing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

The Service is not intended for anyone under 18 years old, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
