Terms and Conditions

Last updated: [EFFECTIVE_DATE]

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or otherwise using WideApply (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (the "Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

2. The service

WideApply helps you run a job search. Depending on the features you enable, the Service may:

  • Analyze your resume and profile to recommend roles that fit your experience and career goals, and assess the fit of any specific job you add.
  • Submit job applications on your behalf, using a resume and profile automatically tailored to each role.
  • Draft, send, and manage application-related emails, including replies to recruiters, subject to your approval as described in Section 3.
  • Provide a dedicated phone number that forwards calls and SMS messages from employers to your personal phone.
  • Provide guidance on your LinkedIn profile, including suggested rewrites, people worth connecting with, and suggested messages.
  • Help you prepare for interviews, including tailored talking points, practice sessions, and performance reports.

3. Authorization to act on your behalf

By selecting a job and enabling application or outreach features, you authorize us to submit applications and send application-related emails in your name and on your behalf for that job.

We will not send a reply to a recruiter or employer without your approval. When an employer or recruiter responds, we draft a reply for you to review. The reply is only sent after you approve it; you may also edit or discard it before it sends.

You may revoke this authorization at any time by pausing or canceling your account, or by disabling the relevant feature in your dashboard. Revocation does not affect applications or messages already sent.

4. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy and truthfulness of the information you provide to us, including your resume, work history, education, and any other credentials. You agree not to submit false or misleading information through the Service.

You are responsible for the content of any message or application that you approve, including drafted replies you approve without edits. You are also responsible for complying with each employer's application rules and the terms of any third-party platform involved in your job search.

5. Email account connection

To manage recruiter correspondence on your behalf, you may connect an email account to the Service. We access this account only to operate the Service: to send application-related messages you authorize, to read and draft replies to application-related correspondence, and to forward relevant messages to you.

You may disconnect your email account at any time from your dashboard. Disconnecting stops future access but does not retract messages already sent.

6. Phone number, calls, and SMS

We may provide you with a dedicated phone number to use on applications and with employers. Calls and text messages sent to that number are forwarded to the personal phone number you provide.

Standard carrier message and data rates may apply to forwarded calls and texts. Call and SMS forwarding depends on third-party telecommunications carriers, and we are not responsible for delays, failures, or interruptions caused by those carriers.

To stop receiving forwarded SMS messages, reply STOP to any forwarded text, or disable call and SMS forwarding from your dashboard.

7. LinkedIn and third-party platforms

For LinkedIn, we provide guidance only. This includes profile rewrite suggestions, a list of people who may be worth connecting with, and suggested messages. We do not access, log into, or take any action on your LinkedIn account or any other third-party platform on your behalf.

You are responsible for your own activity on LinkedIn and any other third-party platform, including any connection requests, messages, or profile changes you choose to make, and for complying with that platform's terms of use.

8. Interview preparation and recordings

Practice interview sessions offered through the Service may be recorded so that we can generate feedback, reports, and prep plans for you.

Before recording or submitting any real interview (as opposed to a practice session), you must obtain the consent of everyone participating in that interview and follow all applicable recording laws and any rules set by the employer or interviewer. You are solely responsible for obtaining this consent and complying with these laws and rules.

9. No guarantee of outcomes

Fit scores, strategies, outcome estimates, and all other guidance provided through the Service are for informational purposes only. They reflect our best assessment based on available information and are not a promise or guarantee of any result.

We do not guarantee that you will receive an interview, an offer, or employment of any kind. WideApply is not an employment agency, staffing agency, or recruiter, and we are not a party to any employment relationship between you and any employer.
